Vigilance is essential to guarantee the ongoing understanding of the profile of adverse events related to the use of RB medicinal products, medical devices, cosmetics and vitamins, minerals and supplements (VMS).

This role is a crucial role since the post-holder is responsible for completing the key tasks in the provision of safety services and vigilance to facilitate and support the ongoing marketing of RB medicinal products, medical devices, cosmetics and VMS.

Specific tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Ensuring the cases received by AE Management Team is sent to the third party for case processing
- Work with third party processor to monitor the outstanding cases are within target and identified problems to be brought to the attention of the Manager
- Ensuring trackers are maintained and up to date weekly and analysation of that data
- Work with AE Management Team Associates and Officers to ensure the timely completion of quality check findings are recorded.
- Assisting the AE Management Team Associates, Officers, Team Leader(s) and Manager to ensure that all cases are entered on the safety database in a timely fashion and monitored to ensure PSURs are delivered to the appropriate regulatory authority on time. Work with the Safety Reports team leader to ensure that the up and coming PSURs list is available to the third party processors
- Ensure that the training logs sheet for both the AE Management Team and third party processors are completed, scanned, saved electronically and a paper copy filed, printed and shared for individuals training folders
- Ensuring that all electronic and paper vigilance records are managed and maintained accordingly as per SOPs and industry regulations, with specific actions taken from the Manager
- AE Management Team.
- Work with the AE Management Team Associates, Officers, Team Leader(s) and Manager to ensure that working documents and other appropriate documentation are updated and current
- Work with the AE Management Team Associates, Officers, Team Leader(s) and Manager to ensure that the third party case processors receive documentation and support as appropriate for case processing
- Training new AE Management Team members with guidance from the Manager - AE Management Team
- Ensuring that output is of high quality and in line with relevant standard operating procedures and industry regulations.
