Total Control Pro is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Software Tester Apprentice to join their growing team based in Northampton.

**Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of**:

- Collaborate with experienced software developers and engineers to understand testing methodologies and processes.
- Execute test cases and identify software defects to ensure high-quality products.
- Participate in test planning, design, and strategy discussions.
- Learn to use testing tools and contribute to test automation efforts.
- Provide clear and concise reports on testing results to the development team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.

**Qualifications**:

- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

**Skills Required**:

- Basic understanding of software development concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Evidence of coursework or self-learning in software development or testing is advantageous.

**Personal qualities**:

- Confidence.
- Strong motivation.
- Organised, good timekeeping, attention to detail.
- An ability and desire to learn new skills quickly.
- Genuine passion for technology and desire to build a career in this area.

**Training to be provided**:

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Software Tester, with training in how to:

- Ensure that the software used within your business operates as intended.
- Design and prepare test plans and conduct software testing as appropriate to ensure your software is fit for purpose.
- Collect and interpret the results of testing and make appropriate recommendations.
- Document and report test results.
- Store, manage and share test data in a secure manner.
