The Treasury Specialist will support the Head of Financial Planning, Treasury and Finance Business Partnering to take strategic ownership Octavia’s treasury activities, ensuring that adequate financial systems and processes are in place to enable Octavia to achieve its objectives. The Treasury Specialist will maintain strong external relationships, be a figurehead for financial excellence and lead the development and upskilling of the finance team in treasury matters.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Cash forecasting - Compile information from around the business to create an ongoing cash forecast
- Working capital monitoring - Review the corporate policies related to working capital, and model their impact on cash flows
- Cash concentration - Create a system for funnelling cash into a centralised bank account, from which cash can be most effectively invested
- Fund raising - Determine when additional cash is needed and raise funds through drawdowns
- Banks and Credit rating agency relations - Keep Octavia's bankers apprised of the company's financial performance and projections, as well as any forthcoming changes in its need for borrowed funds. Regarding banks, the discussion may extend to the various services provided by the banks to Octavia, such as wire transfers, ACH payments, and so forth
- Treasury Advisors - Maintain a good working relationship with Octavia's treasury advisors to ensure all funding and financial risks are identified and managed
- Maintain loan/debt information on an external system provided by Chathams
- Maintain AssetCore which provides information on, available securities, charges, outstanding facilities, Trusts and Trustee relationships, lease information, valuations, and covenants
- Budgeting and Planning - Review and input into the Group’s 30-year business plan ensuring the treasury strategy is properly represented in the plan and stress tests, scenario planning and mitigation
- Reporting - Provide the senior management team, sub committees and Group Board with reports concerning market conditions, funding issues, returns on investment, cash-related risks, and similar topics

**Requirements**:
For this position, we have listed the requirements we believe are essential for this role:
**Experience**
- Minimum 5 years PQE i.e., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACT
- Knowledge of housing finance/securitisation is probably essential
- Proven experience of working in a diverse team of qualified and non-qualified accountants as well as other finance specialisms

**Knowledge**
- Treasury management and funding options in the social housing market
- Ability to identify control gaps, and design, implement and evaluate an appropriate control framework for the treasury function
- Strong relation building abilities and experience of working closely with funders and other external parties

**Qualifications / Skills**
- Full qualified accountant or Treasurer (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA/ACMT)
