**Deputy LOLER Focal Point - Brae Alpha**

To ensure all Lifting Operations on site are carried out in accordance with LOLER, TAQA and Bilfinger Lifting procedures and standards

**TASKS**:

- LOLER responsible person on site for all lifting operations as required;
- Manage the daily lifting activities carried out on behalf of TAQA by all its contractors through co-ordination of and adherence to TAQA and Bilfinger lifting procedures and standards as required;
- Review and approve all lifting operations, lifting plans and risk assessments;
- Develop Lifting Plans and risk assessments as required;
- Carry out lifting operations as required;
- Ensure suitable levels of Supervision for all lifting operations as determined by the lift plan and risk assessment;
- Ensuring all personnel involved in lifting operations meet the minimum competence standards;
- Carry out audits on lifting operations to ensure compliance with TAQA and Bilfinger lifting procedures and LOLER;
- Participate in Bilfinger competence scheme including any multi skilled role in accordance with the relevant competence framework;
Providing coaching to personnel on safe practises during the planning, risk assessment and execution of lifting operations
- Consulting with the OIM, Services Supervisor, Deck Foreman and Rigging Supervisors to ensure there are sufficient and competent personnel to plan, supervise and conduct lifting operations safely;
- Ensuring all personnel involved in lifting operations have read and understand relevant procedures;
- Monitoring compliance with lifting procedures and standards across all work groups on site, e.g. deck operations, maintenance, construction, drilling and well operations;
- Attending platform daily planning meetings as well as the 7 day and 28 day look ahead planning meetings in order to gain an understanding of when and where lifting operations may be required. This shall facilitate improved planning and ensure adequate resources and supervision are available;
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- ECITB Appointed Person,
- OPITO Rigger Assessment Stage 3 or Stage 4,
- OPITO Banksman Slinger assessment Stage 3 or Stage 4
- Relevant Supervisory Training and experience
- HERTM and COXSWAIN training advantageous
