**Working hours** 37hrs per week (Mon-Fri usually)

**Background**
Every Customer Counts has been under development for several years as a self-assessment auditing tool aimed at small businesses essentially, to become more inclusive and accessible to our stakeholders and for our stakeholders to search, use and rate businesses via the website or App. The aim is to overcome issues of affordability and fear of legislation/cost associated with becoming more accessible and to make society more inclusive to our stakeholders. It is a very simple website and App, and when businesses follow this guidance it will make them more inclusive for any disabled person, older people and families with small children/pushchairs. This will in turn mean they will benefit from accessing the ‘purple pound’ which is the spending power of disabled people said to be worth £274bn nationally.
**Role Purpose**
The postholder will support the roll out and usage of ECC involving piloting, promotion and marketing, encouraging and supporting businesses and other organisations to sign up, advising and guiding on all things related. Ensuring the website and App are both being utilised and are functioning well, liaising with web support where applicable, addressing updates as and when needed. The ultimate aim with ECC is that it will become a national, best practice accessibility resource and embedded within the Governments Disability Confident Scheme.
**Activities & Responsibilities**
- Familiarise yourself with the whole ECC system through reading/reviewing the website, all Q&As, resource guides and taking the quiz from both perspective of a business and as a customer
- Deliver a pilot locally to test out the ECC product.
- Develop a PR & Marketing Strategy in conjunction with colleagues.
- Promotion and marketing, development of materials in conjunction with Disability Cornwall social media & communication staff.
- Send ECC packs to businesses who sign up.
- Associated administration and advice to businesses.
- Undertake training with the Centre for Accessible environments to enhance your knowledge
- For businesses who achieve a level 4 rating, assess them via telephone through talking through the report as part of the verification process.
- Develop a great working relationship with our ECC assessor who will undertake reviews of level 5 achieving businesses.
- Connect with the Disability Unit and DWP regarding embedding ECC as an accessibility resource in the Disability Confident Scheme.
- Based on customer feedback, consider any enhancements / developments required in liaison with the Chief Executive
- Work with the web developers to make required changes/updates.
- Give due consideration to any extra / optional sections which need to be included.
- Review content annually to ensure we are giving the most up to date information in liaison with specialist organisations.
- Any other tasks as requested.
**Skills, Experience & Attributes**
- Accessibility awareness, or similar working experience an advantage
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You need to be able to clearly convey ideas and information to various stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and the general public.
- Creativity: Being creative is important for developing effective marketing campaigns and communication strategies that stand out and capture the attention of the audience.
- Strategic thinking: A good marketer to think strategically and develop plans that align with our objectives and target audience needs.
- Analytical skills: Data analysis is critical to measure the success of our marketing campaigns and determine where to focus resources in the future. Understanding data and analytics is necessary to be able to optimise marketing campaigns and improve their effectiveness.
- Relationship building: Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders such as clients, customers, is essential for any marketing or communications role.
