An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a strongly established and growing company that provides high quality musical instruments, with a strong emphasis on fretted instruments, brass and woodwind, and leading accessories.

The role has great earning potential with OTE of £42,000.

**About the company**:

Their brands are recognised throughout the industry.

**About the role**:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for new business development, managing a range of accounts across the UK, and breaking into and establishing new business within dormant accounts and winning new customers.

The role is focused on both new business and account management, with responsibility for managing a portfolio of existing accounts, developing business with these customers, and prospecting with dormant accounts. And will report to the Director of Salesand work as part of the Head Office sales team.

**Essential skills**:

- An established sales professional with experience in distributive sales or retail sales in a consumer goods B2B telemarketing environment.
- A working knowledge of all aspects of e-commerce.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be an engaging and adept communicator capable of presenting and closing sales at all levels, both face to face and via telesales in an intensely competitive sales environment.
- Well-developed preparation, administrative, organisational, and time management skills.
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

**Desirable skills**:

- Experience of musical instruments and PA equipment.
- Additional industry-specific experience such as being a musician and/or have music products industry or category knowledge.
