Located next to iconic George Square, our 245 purposeful hotel rooms combine form & function, creating a harmonious atmosphere for our guests.

**A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT AT AC HOTEL BY MARRIOTT GLASGOW**

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

- Ensuring the hotel’s facilities, rooms, and equipment are in excellent condition by performing routine maintenance and repairs
- Conducting regular inspections to identify and resolve any potential issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building upkeep
- Responding promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues to ensure their comfort and satisfaction
- Collaborating with the hotel team to support a smooth guest experience and address any maintenance concerns
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the maintenance areas, ensuring all equipment and tools are stored safely and appropriately
- Keeping accurate records of work orders and maintenance tasks completed
- Adhering to all health and safety standards, as well as hotel-specific policies and procedures

**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**

We hire based on personality & potential, but here are a few of our requirements:

- Strong attention to detail: You’ll ensure everything is functioning properly to provide the best experience for guests and staff
- Practical experience: Previous experience in hotel or facilities maintenance, or a relevant trade qualification is a plus
- Problem-solving skills: You’re resourceful and able to tackle a variety of maintenance issues efficiently and effectively
- Flexibility: You're adaptable, and able to work shifts, including early mornings, and weekends as needed
- Team player: You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy helping others
- Positive attitude: You maintain a proactive approach and work well under pressure
- Physical stamina: The role requires manual work, including lifting, carrying, and general physical tasks
