We are currently recruiting for an **Automotive Parts BOM Engineer** to join our client on a permanent basis, based in Warwick. In role you will ensure the accurate build of vehicle serviceable parts catalogue. Continually evolving our existing processes, the role will ensure an efficient and optimal approach to the creationand maintenance of the Parts Service BOM.

**Main Roles & Responsibilities of the Automotive Parts BOM Engineer:
Determine Part Breakdown for service and accessory parts based on Engineering BOM
Identify Service only parts not supported in Engineering BOM
Act as the knowledgeable go-to person for the customer on all matters SBOM and EPC related
Create and maintain Service BOM based on points above
Interrogate engineering changes and assess impact on Service BOM
Update Service BOM based upon engineering change requests
Distribute SBOM to defined circulation list and field queries as required
Maintain part history as part of Service BOM maintenance including supersession data
Populate Service BOM with relevant Purchasing and logistics information
Optimise Service BOM to ensure most economic identification of service level part and reduce service part complexity
Develop Service BOM though time to meet the changing requirements based on customer needs
Build relationships will key stakeholders
Report project status to internal and customer management

**The ideal Automotive Parts BOM Engineer:
Background in Automotive Parts with strong academic qualifications to support this
Strong Data Analysis skill
Understanding of PLM system operation
Understanding or ERP systems
Understanding of Change control process
Detailed and accurate approach to tasks
Automotive Service Parts experience
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels in a technical and engineering environment
Good planning skills with the ability to prioritise and keep the customer informed of status
