**ABOUT THE JOB**

Reporting to the Programme Leader, the BOM Coordinator will maintain the bill of material for the Mule program, and the Rigs & Bucks specified within each function group design verification plan

**REGULAR TASKS**
- Establish against each property (Rig, buck, or mule) the engineering bill of material by liaising and confirming parts and assemblies required with the responsible function group owner
- Working to programme timescales, publish the BOM, identifying and extracting a purchasing bill of material for procurement
- Maintain the Bill of Materials/OTG for a Rigs/Bucks/Mules T&V phase, by regular reviews with the Engineers, providing guidance and assistance supporting the properties being built.
- Lead the task of planning the build content for the Rigs/Bucks/Mules, potentially leading to Production BOM tracking for VPs too.
- Liaise with commodity engineers to produce Reference for Quotation documents to support procurement process
- Liaise with procurement to confirm status of part & assembly by property to report overall status for review
- Check and confirm the accuracy and content of parts for build, spares, and updates.
- Make judgements to prioritise workload whilst bearing in mind the effects on downstream events.
- Work with Engineering, Programme Office, Customer and Purchasing to keep abreast of any changes in build requirements, timing, or design changes.
- Single Point of Contact for all BOM related matters for total vehicle in test & validation phase

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**
- Must be able to work to and be very aware of programme deadlines, release timing requirements and material required dates.
- Excellent administration skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently communicate with different levels within the business are essential.
- Ability to confidently communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery timing.
- Good team working skills as well as the ability to work independently when required
- Knowledge of Excel Macros.
- Bills of Materials Experience.
- Experience in engineering change management and release process will be added advantage
- Understanding, if not experience, of planning, databases and automotive industry is desirable
- Experience of working with Microsoft Teams
- Experience of working with JIRA & JAMA would be advantageous
- Knowledge of gateway methodology within an automotive environment
- Able to demonstrate experience of creating & executing a BOM from concept through to Job 1 plus 90 days

**SENIORITY LEVEL**
- Two years’ experience or evidence of completing a vehicle program within a first tier or OEM

Degree or similar would be desirable but not essential
