Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Head of Major Projects, to join the thriving Capital Delivery team. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:

- Directing the delivery of sustainable transport projects and programmes across the region.
- Developing strong meaningful stakeholder relations across the region enabling agreement of scope as well as timely and cost-efficient delivery.
- Being accountable for programme and project reporting, milestone adherence, financial control and value for money.
- Completing projects and programmes to cost and time achieving the benefits for the residents of our region including delivering value for money.
- Providing direction in and taking accountability for, risk, issues and dependency management aligned to robust governance and assurance.
- Collaborating with the regions Unitary Authority and other delivery partners to ensure timely resolution of issues and delivery of projects.
- Leading relations with the regions suppliers providing best in class performance and commercial awareness.
- Being a leader of people, with strong communication skills, and a clear vision working towards a common purpose.

As a team we are committed to ensuring we deliver for the communities in our region. The role is a senior position and significant experience of managing infrastructure projects is essential.
