**Job Title - Electrician/Electrical Compliance Supervisor**
- Location - Newry, Northern Ireland (Remote working if suitable) Split between site and the office
- Reports to Operations Director
- Salary - Competitive Rates depending on experience

**Scope of Job**

This role is for an Electrical Compliance Supervisor to ensure self NICEIC certification on all electrical work undertaken on behalf of FM Environmental Ltd on site and at its work facility in Newry.

The role will also incorporate, where required, electrical installation and testing on FM Environmental sites throughout Northern Ireland.

The individual will be electrically competent with specific responsibility for the safety, technical standard and quality of electrical installation work undertaken. This includes maintaining NICEIC registration and demonstrating the ability and competence in inspection and testing, including use of test instruments and interpretation of results.

The individual will be required to sign off all NICEIC certificates on behalf FM Environmental Ltd., undertake quality control of electrical works, and maintain the level of training required to fulfil the role.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain NICEIC registration including preparation for inspections.
- Maintain correct level of qualification and training to fulfil the Qualified Supervisor role.
- To ensure electrical quality standards are meet on FM Environmental Ltd. sites.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning and certification of equipment on FM Environmental Ltd. construction sites.
- Ensure all electrical test equipment is calibrated.
- Undertake quality inspections to meet NICEIC and company requirements.
- Prepare corrective action reports following failed quality inspections.
- Undertake qualified supervisor role on all certification.
- Undertake fixed wire certification.
- Undertake PAT testing.
- Ensure that the results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates or reports.
- Ensure electrical safety, technical standards and quality of electrical installation work
- Undertake quality inspections of subcontractors.
- Any other duties as required in line with the duties outlined above.

**Supporting Activities**
- When required, he/she will also be required when needed to assist in general activities to support the wider team. This may include general installation and maintenance work and assisting on site when required etc.

**Qualifications**

**Essential**
- 18th Addition Wiring Regulations
- Craft NVQ Level 3
- Testing and Inspecting Level 3
- Able to satisfy NICEIC Qualified Supervisor Role

**Desirable**
- Health and safety Qualification

**Experience**

**Essential**
- 3 years working as an Electrician in a similar environment

**Desirable**
- Experience in the water industry

**Knowledge & Understanding**

**Essential**
- Able to ensure electrical compliance and NICEIC accreditation.
- Able to diagnose and repair electrical problems including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring.
- Able to manage electrical contractors.
- Able to manage quality control, compliance and certification.
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Able to effectively plan and organise a wide and challenging workload.

**Desirable**
- A good Knowledge of Computer Aided Facilities Maintenance systems

**Abilities and Skills**
