Medical Receptionist

We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Receptionist at our well-established GP surgery in North London. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Register new patients, update existing patient records, and maintain accurate and confidential patient information.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment system efficiently.
- Answer telephone calls, handle inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Liaise with Doctors, Nurses, and other staff members to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
- Handle patient queries, provide information on services, and address general inquiries.
- Process prescriptions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
**Requirements**:
- Knowledge or EMIS.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Previous experience in as a medical receptionist
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize and interact effectively with a diverse range of patients and colleagues.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic medical record software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Respect for patient confidentiality and a commitment to maintaining data protection standards.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, as per the surgery's needs.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £11.50 per hour
