**This is the job**:
As our Risk and Compliance Business Partner for our Roadside division, you will actively influence day to day decisions, helping to shape strategic and business processes compliantly. To be successful in this role you will need to develop a deep understanding of the Roadside business model, products and regulatory environments in order to provide pragmatic and focused guidance and advice in respect of Risk and Regulation matters,acting as a 'critical friend' to key stakeholder groups. As part of this you will actively facilitate the identification, assessment and mitigation of risks through an effective and trusted business relationship with key stakeholders and members of the SLT.

**What will I be doing?**:

- To nurture an effective business partner relationship with the Roadside division Teams acting as a critical friend
- Working with the Roadside Leadership team, providing strategic advice in respect of appropriate control environments
- Supporting the Roadside Leadership team in ensuring regulatory requirements are met; including providing support, challenge and advice.
- Proactively seek to improve local processes and working practices to drive efficiencies across the team and wider business
- Assist the Assurance team in ensuring that remedial action is taken where any deficiencies are identified
- Assist the Policy and Technical team with horizon scanning and monitoring of internal policies, procedures and controls against new regulations.
- Support the administration and embedding of the GCO business SMCR requirements, and provide check and challenge guidance on evidence regarding reasonable steps to the MD of Roadside
- Responsible for the effective and efficient compliance and risk reporting ensuring ensuring any issues are highlighted accordingly

**What do I need?**:
**Capability, Knowledge and Experience**:

- Significant previous regulatory management experience in a FCA regulated firm
- A passion for implementing regulatory requirements into operational business practises and processes
- Demonstrable experience and proven capability working with all levels of the organisation including Senior Leadership. Strong ability to engage and influence any audience and build excellent working relationship
- Highly numerate, with the ability to assimilate vast quantities of information quickly and accurately to inform decisions around key functions, such as risk and compliance.
- Working knowledge of Compliance and Risk management principles
- Able to manage a complex workload, working on multiple projects and initiatives at any one time, with the ability to work with a high degree of pace in order to meet deadlines and drive the business forward.
- Technical working knowledge of the FCA regulations, OFCOM regulations, DPA and other regulated compliance matters
