**Speech and Language Teaching Assistant**

**Location - East london**

**Salary - £90-£100 Per day PAYE**

**Speech and Language Teaching Assistant requirements**
- Passion for working with young people who require additional support to access education and social development
- The ideal Speech and Language Teaching Assistant will have experience working with colourful semantics and word aware
- The Ideal Speech and Language Teaching Assistant would be able to pick up instructions quickly from the SALT therapist
- Ideally have previous experience (formal or informal) supporting children with autism or other special educational needs
- A proactive and positive individual who is always striving to meet children's learning needs.
- Ability to build rapport with children and staff members to ensure all needs are met

**What you can expect as a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant**
- Your role as a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant will be to support a child with special educational needs however the role will vary from day to day, you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations
- For aspiring Teachers, Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers, these positions will offer a relevant and vital experience for your chosen career path
