Are you a Teaching Assistant with Speech and Language experience?

**About the role**

We are looking for a teaching assistant to work in the Speech and Language Resource base of this mainstream Primary School. As a speech and language Teaching Assistant you will be aware that Children and young people with speech, language and communicationneeds (SLCN) have difficulty in communicating with others. This may be because they have difficulty saying what they want to, understanding what is being said to them or they do not understand or use social rules of communication. Your role will be to assistthe class teacher in delivering and children receiving inclusive and adaptive lessons that allow students with speech and language needs to engage with their education as well as carrying out small group interventions to improve speech and language skills.The role will be 8.30am-4pm full-time during term time.

**About the school**

This is a mixed mainstream Primary School based in Bruce Grove, Haringey. They are a busy but friendly two form entry school that caters for Nursery to Year 6 children and have an onsite Speech and Language Resource Base. They aim for every child to be motivatedthrough positive attitudes and values, to develop a love of learning and to achieve their full potential; becoming independent and productive members of society who lead happy, healthy and successful lives. The school is very focused on inclusivity and celebratingeach other's differences and this is evident from the moment you walk through the doors.
