**The Role**
This is a hybrid role: think part sales, part customer service and part facilities management. You will report directly to your store manager and will be assisting in all aspects of the stores sales performance in order to grow and develop the business. A sales and or customer service background is essential in this progressive environment and would suit a commercially focused individual.
**Sales Responsibilities**
- Advising new and existing customers on the best storage solution for their particular needs
- Letting of rooms
- Selling of merchandise
- Selling of insurance
- Following up enquiries
- Managing existing accounts and general administrative tasks
- Processing of cash / card and BACS payments
- Credit Control
- Develop and sustain sales activities to ensure maximum profit is achieved
**Operational Responsibilities**
- Ensuring the store presents itself to a high standard of cleanliness and appearance
- Conduct daily health and safety checks and complete any ad hoc basic maintenance tasks
- Flexible availability - including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Live within 30 minutes travelling time of the store
- Hold a full driving licence (preferred)
**Essential Skills**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer-facing sales and/or retail environment
- Excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life
- Strong cognitive and mathematical skills, including problem analysis and the ability to interpret financial and statistical data
- Computer literate
- Possess strong selling and communication skills
- A hands on and CAN-DO attitude
**Preferred but not Essential Experience within**:
Self-Storage / Removals / Retail / Direct Sales / Customer Services / Financial Services
**Hours of Work**
40 hours per week, rota shifts during store opening times of:
- Monday to Friday 08.00 to 19.00
- Saturday 09.00 to 18.00
- Sunday 10.00 to 16:00
