**Salary**: Up to £65,000 (depending on experience)

**Hybrid working pattern**: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working; on average, 4 days per week onsite for this role.

**Software Project Lead (Command and Control)**

**The opportunity**

This is a fantastic opportunity to create, grow and then develop a small highly-specialised technical team

MBDA produce some of the most advanced missile systems in the world. We are looking for a highly capable and adaptable Software Project Leader to join our team at our Bristol facility to lead the development of some Ground Based Air Defence products whilstmaintaining our enviable reputation for safety, performance and dependability.

This is a very hands-on role to understand technically the current Command & Control architecture, and support the continued design and development and the instantiations for future products. Resolving issues, including competing demands, sensitive situationsand conflicts. This role includes involvement in all aspects of the development, integration, project management, delivery into service and service support aspects.

**What we're looking for from you**:

- You will need to be adaptable and creative as this role combines technical leadership, project management and team building aspects. The technical component is the largest part of the role.
- A strong background in software, its realisation and system wide impact with strong problem-solving skills. Experience of working in C++.
- You will favour a collaborative, open approach to development and have the ability to work well in a team, and maintain momentum during development.The software that you develop will be used across multiple products at several sites, so strong communicationskills are essential.
