**Key Responsibilities**
- Process new **Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs)** within statutory timescales.
- Support the drafting, issuing, and reviewing of **Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)**.
- Maintain accurate records and data within the council’s case management systems.
- Liaise with parents, carers, schools, and other professionals to coordinate information required for assessments.
- Track and monitor the progress of assessments, ensuring all statutory deadlines are met.
- Prepare and issue correspondence, reports, and documentation in line with data protection and council procedures.
- Support the resource allocation and placement process for children with EHCPs.
- Contribute to improving processes to ensure timely service delivery and compliance with legal requirements.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the SEND service and senior officers.
**Essential Skills & Experience**
- Strong administrative background, preferably within local government or education.
- Experience in processing statutory assessments or similar casework.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
- Proficient in MS Office and database systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with parents and professionals.
- Knowledge of SEND legislation (Children and Families Act 2014, SEN Code of Practice) is desirable.

Pay: £19.42 per hour
