Senior Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced, friendly, hardworking and proactive Senior Support Worker to join us at our supported living and outreach support business. We offer personalised care and support to 16+ young people with additional needs in supported accommodation in small therapeutic settings.
- **We are looking to recruit for our Additional Needs Supported Living Service based in Old Swan. You will work with 3 young male adults in 1 property, offering 24 hour support on a rotary basis. **_

Your role will include:

- To consult, listen to and provide the delivery of a person centred care/support service that promotes independence, choice and dignity to empower residents to live as independently as possible
- Ensure risk assessments and support plans are up to date and accurate.
- Build relationships with all residents based on respect and trust, ensuring they have a safe place to develop their identity and place in society
- Participate in the on call rotation, ensuring that you remain available for on site visits as well as calls during this time
- Provide residents with confidence and support to complete daily tasks, including the maintenance of their tenancy
- Maintain and develop effective working relationships with all team members for the service
- Ensure communication and links with all internal and external stakeholders
- Work in partnership with external stakeholders to provide and maximise opportunities for residents and build a strong support network

This is an exciting role, working for a management who will support you and provide you with any assistance you may need. Opportunities for progression through the company are available.
- **£13.50 per hour (£62 per sleep)**:

- **40 hours per week (Overtime available)**:

- **Flexibility required as shifts will include, Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings and Sleep ins on a rotary basis**:

- **This service operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year**:

- **Focused on providing support and guidance**:

- **This role is based in supported living service**:

- **Opportunity to also provide assistance/cover to other services in the local area**

**What do you need?**
- A minimum of 12 months senior experience or knowledge of person-centred, therapeutic models.
- Experience of working with people with additional needs, with a focus on Autism and Mental Health
- Experience of sexual and criminal exploitation
- Great communication skills, naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care.
- You need to be able to work flexibly covering long day shifts, weekends and sleeps.

**Experience & Qualifications**
- Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care. (Essential)
- Minimum of 1 years’ senior support experience or above. (Essential)
- DBS on Update System. (Desired)
- Willing & able to do Sleep In shifts **(required)**
