**About the role**:
As an Events Security Officer with Churchill Support Services, you'll be given the opportunity become a part of our truly exciting journey. Whilst the successful applicant will be predominantly based in the North West, there will also be the opportunity to travel further afield to a variety of exciting sites, ranging from thrilling Scare Parks and Events to prestigious sporting spectacles. Whilst there are no guaranteed hours to this role, you will receive a weekly rundown of upcoming events, so you'll enjoy variety in your schedule. This position not only provides a great entry point into a thriving company but also serves as a stepping stone for personal and professional growth. The successful applicant will receive the necessary tools and support to evolve into the role of an Events Supervisor and beyond.
**Responsibilities of an Events Security Officer at Churchill Support Services**:
- Monitor and maintain the security of the premises, including conducting regular patrols
- Handle access control procedures, verifying identification
- Conducting searches on visitors and guests
- Respond promptly and effectively to all security incidents, including alarms, emergencies, and potential threats.
- Report any suspicious activities, hazards, or violations of security protocols to the appropriate authorities.
- Assist with emergency procedures and evacuation protocols, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, security checks, and any relevant information.
- Collaborate with the wider security team and other departments to uphold a safe and secure environment.
**Requirements**:
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence is essential.
- Previous experience in a similar security role is desired but not essential; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
- A proactive and vigilant approach to security, with the ability to assess and respond to potential risks.
- A professional and customer-oriented mindset, dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
**Job Types**: Permanent, Zero hours contract
**Salary**: £10.42-£17.50 per hour
