Becontree Primary attaches great importance to pupil punctuality and attendance, holding parents accountable when children are late or unnecessarily absent.

Becontree Primary School encourages staff to take pride in the contribution they make to bettering children’s life chances. It hopes that those with a connection to Becontree will look back with a sense of pride in what they achieved and with a respect for themselves and others.

**Ofsted report**

“Pupils who are behind with their reading and numeracy skills when they start school catch up quickly and make good progress. Teaching and learning are good across the school and some of the teaching is outstanding.”
