The Faculty of Arts is looking to appoint a Faculty Research Funding Officer to be part of the team that is responsible for supporting the development of excellent research and knowledge exchange. As Faculty Research Funding Officer you will co-ordinate and facilitate research bid development, costing & submission, project start-up and post-award monitoring. Specifically, you will:

- Provide direction and expert guidance to Faculty and School-based staff on research costing and pricing research activities.
- Provide specialist technical advice to support the development of research grants large, complex bids.
- Develop and implement quality assurance frameworks to maximise service quality, efficiency, and continuity.
- Work closely with colleagues in Research and Innovation to ensure seamless pre and post award support.
- Build strong relationships and networks.

This new role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our ambitious plans to increase our research activity, income, and margin. You will have a degree or equivalent qualification and/or have a proven track record of relevant work experience. You will need to have excellent project management skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience of research operations and developing bids, the ability to pro-actively investigate and solve problems and deliver a portfolio of work against tight deadlines.

This is a permanent, full-time post of 36.25 hours per week. Job share arrangements may be considered.
