The Charity Funding Officer will be responsible for identifying, researching, and securing funding opportunities to support the organisation's mission and objectives. This role will involve building relationships with potential funders, preparing compelling funding proposals, and managing grant administration.
**The role is Part Time, 15 hours per week (Days negotiable) £16ph**

- **Research and Identification**:
- Conduct in-depth research to identify potential funding sources, including trusts, foundations, corporate sponsors, and government agencies.
- Stay up-to-date on funding trends and opportunities.
- Maintain a database of potential funders and track funding cycles.
- Production of Funding Strategy that supports our ambition to expand and improve our service and its offerings
- **Proposal Development**:
- Develop high-quality funding proposals that effectively communicate the organisation's mission, projects, and financial needs.
- Tailor proposals to meet the specific requirements of different funders.
- Ensure proposals are submitted within deadlines and adhere to all guidelines.
- **Relationship Management**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and current funders.
- Attend networking events to increase visibility and foster partnerships.
- Respond to inquiries from funders in a timely and professional manner.
- **Grant Administration**:
- Manage grant administration processes, including reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
- Ensure that grant funds are used effectively and in accordance with donor guidelines.
- Monitor grant progress and report back to funders as required.
- **Fundraising Campaigns**:
- Support fundraising campaigns, including events, appeals, and direct marketing initiatives.
- Assist in developing fundraising strategies and materials.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising.
- Knowledge of grant writing techniques and proposal development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- IT proficient
**Experience**:
- At least 1 years of experience in Bid Writing
- Experience working in the non-profit sector preferred.
