Responsive Engineering are recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to provide inspection to the fabrication and welding areas. Working as part of the inspection team you will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured products fully conform to customer requirements, whilst maintaining the company’s focus on quality, cost and delivery.

We require a flexible, enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude and the ability to manage your time effectively whilst working to tight targets and deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

- Inspection of products in the fabrication and welding area to ensure the correct quality
- Calibration and validate monitoring and measuring equipment prior to use
- Liaise with engineering team to clarify inspection and testing requirements.
- Liaise with goods inward for the inspection of raw materials, components and associated certification
- Support the production team with in-process inspection and testing of components for manufacture.
- Accept or reject finished components in accordance with drawing specification and standards
- Maintain product traceability and compliance to required standards
- Segregate and identify non-conforming parts to ensure all product non-conformances are accurately reported.
- Support problem-solving activities and investigations where product or process non-conformance has been identified.
- Liaise with customers and third-party inspection to build a partnership approach ensuring customer confidence.
- Contribute to quality led improvement initiatives and support overall quality performance

Knowledge, experience and skills required include:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment in a Quality control role.
- Proficient in reading, understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Competent with manual inspection processes using equipment such as tapes, rules, micrometres, verniers, height gauges, thread gauges etc.
- Ability to write clear and concise inspection reports and work with both metric and imperial units as required
- Sound decision making and problem-solving skills
- CSWIP 3.0 certified (CSWIP 3.1 desirable)
- PCN Level 2 MPI
- PCN Level 2 Dye Pen (desirable)
- PCN Level UT (desirable)

This is a full time, permanent position which offer an attractive employment package, including:
