**Overview**
The role will be based at Wakefield and may need to provide support on an ad hoc basis to the site at Stockton. The working hours are predominantly Monday to Friday, based on site. We are flexible on start and finish times, 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm.
**How will you contribute?**
- This role reports to the Contract People Manager.
- Responsibility for delivering a proactive HR transactional activity that is dedicated to delivering improved performance from the site and focused on customer excellence.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing Line Managers on site.
- Advise, support and guide Managers in investigations, disciplinarians, appeals and all family friendly procedures (maternity, paternity, parental leave, flexible working)
- Management of long-term absence cases.
- Working together with local union representatives in line with “Union recognition agreement” you will establish a positive and proactive constructive working relationship.
- You will ensure that all legislative requirements are met, and HR best practice is firmly established.
- Produce / assist in producing HR Statistics and KPIs on a weekly / monthly basis
- Involvement with promoting Employee Engagement & Wellbeing initiatives
**What will you bring?**
- HR knowledge and experience, ideally in a similar working environment.
- Possess a CIPD qualification.
- Have the ability to analyse complex situations and provide workable solutions to a variety of stakeholders, adjusting your style to suit
- Strong communication & negotiating skills.
- Strong organisation skills with the tenacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates a high degree of verbal, numerical and analytical ability.
