This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the Hammersmith & Fulham Council Children's Services team as the Family Information Officer. The post holder will lead on the development and continuous digital improvement of the Local Offer and Family Information Service website; supporting wider sector communications and enhancing the Early Years Service reputation with local families, early years providers, schools and other stakeholders. The post holder will be responsible for producing high quality and engaging service communications across multiple channels and will need to research innovative methods of supply for this service, whilst being committed to the council vision, priorities, major programmes and initiatives. Due to the nature of the work you will need to be flexible and adaptable with the ability to manage your own work. Whilst working as part of team, you will be expected to manage your own time and travel across the borough to deliver the service. You will be able to speak and provide advice in written and spoken English to the public.

**Role Responsibilities**:
To lead on the development of the Local Offer and Family Information Service, supporting wider sector communications and enhancing the Early Years Service reputation with local families, early years providers, schools, and other stakeholders.
You will:
- Lead on FIS responsibilities in accordance with section 11 &12 of the Childcare Act 2006)
- Lead on promoting the work of services for children and families to parents, voluntary, statutory, and independent organisations, specialist interest groups, employers, practitioner’s employment services and other information providers
- Lead on the promotion of the 2,3-and 4-year-old childcare funding and ensure greater take up of offers. To continually review, innovate and creatively communicate a clear and written process for families to fully understand the offers available
- Lead on the communication strategies to ensure uptake of two, three & four-year-old early education places and work closely with the brokerage of places
- Deploy a high degree of decision making when responding to enquiries regarding services for children and families and provide impartial advice on the range of services and related issues
