We are searching for a NPD Technologist to join our team at Finnebrogue.

We are one of the fastest growing food manufacturers in the UK and are searching for a passionate Foodie who will thrive in our environment where our employees are developed to become the best that they can be.

**Key tasks**
- Batching; -accurately following new receipes, weighing out of ingredients in the spice room or raw meat over the tables
- Mixing; -assisting in pumping and packing of samples on the factory floor
- Labelling: - Making labels, detailing UB, allergens, title for products and finished goods stock control, ensuring that all products are labelled correctly
- Sampling; -Making up sample’s boxes for customer requests
- Cooking;
- cooking off samples for assessment (internally and with customer)
- Stock check of NPD ingredients, highlight when we are low, add to procurement tracker
- Ensure retained samples are frozen down, manage frozen stocks, highlight when retained close to depletion, disposing of products that are out of date or not progressing.
- Cost saving projects - produce bench samples
- Creating Quality Contracts
- Add ingredients specs to the internal recipe system, ensure pricing is added
- Assist stage & gate process tech with cooking validations, instructions generation, QAS
- Manage samples & timescales with guidance from NPD Manger
- Be aware of critical path timelines
- Test cutter guides and get sign off from production & procurement and ensure factory compatibility
- Set up Transit Trial, assess new boxes as being fit for purpose and documents results
- Co-ordinate pre-production trials in conjunction with NPD Manager and production
- Recipe development, start to understand what goes into development of new ideas, recipes, and ranges
- Organise sample delivery notes & cover notes
- Packing up parcels for customers
- Shopping for benchmarks, presentations etc.
- Cooking up samples for initial tastings and organoleptic documenting results
- Co - ordinating taste panels, recording results from organoleptic panel and highlighting issues to relevant NPD manager

**Desirable**
- Experience within meat production sector

**Hours of work**

Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week.

The core times are 10am until 4pm daily.
