**Day to Day**
- Ensure all work in the team is effectively planned and executed ensuring optimum use of resources and timely delivery to internal and external customers alike
- Combine key knowledge with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Deliver and take ownership of a specialist service within agreed internal and external process, procedure, timescales and expectations
- Trusted to deliver a quality and specialist experience, always acting responsibly and communicating clearly
- Promote a positive safety culture through visible proactive, consistent and influential behaviours
- Ability to investigate, analyse and contextualise complex issues, identify key points to be addressed and develop effective, practical and simple plans to resolve problems
- Actively demonstrate and promote the Cadent Values, and positively contribute to a customer-oriented approach
- Use expertise to help direct strategy based on detailed analysis
- Drive and deliver brilliant customer service in line with expectations, operating always with a sense of purpose
- Understand the difference between diversity and inclusion and what is meant by creating an inclusive environment.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Managing the creation of an effective and robust resource plan across the Dispatch teams against agreed demand profiles and shift patterns
- Ensuring continued competence of resources through targeted training programmes
- Operational process reviews to ensure they are updated accurately and communicated via the current training platform (maintaining version control documentation)
- Providing key expertise for specific work types where central co-ordination is required to unlock efficiencies in other processes and teams
- Representing Cadent at industry forums sharing best practice and chairing working groups to improve current processes
- Wider engagement and communication, both internally and externally, with key stakeholders across the company and the broader industry
- Working with third party companies to guarantee accuracy of invoices sent and to support a good working relationship
- Management of specific elements of work and resourcing in line with legislative and regulatory requirements
- Ensuring and promoting compliance with Cadent policies, standards and procedures with accountability for effective resolution of any non-compliances identified, including supporting any reviews and investigations as required
- Creating and embedding a customer-focused culture
- Understanding, communicating and championing the overall strategy for the department
- Effective risk management as required to fully execute the purpose of the role Promote optimum efficiency and compliance
- Deliver and own a specialist service within agreed internal and external processes, procedures, timescales and expectations
- Utilise accurate data to drive initiatives to improve performance
- Design, drive and ensure delivery of key improvement initiatives Champion knowledge sharing, collaborative working and continual improvement across Cadent
- Act responsibly and always communicate clearly
- Drive and always implement required H&S standards reducing risk to colleagues, customers and stakeholders
- Analyse and interpret complex technical and data issues to form insights and recommendations
- Build strong relationships and have the ability and determination to meet stakeholder expectations Actively demonstrate and promote the Cadent Values and positively contribute to a customer-oriented approach
- Strong leadership, management, communication and influencing/negotiating skills to build and maintain effective relationships with staff and management at all level, both internally and across stakeholder groups
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques to drive incremental and step change improvements in performance, including engagement across key stakeholders to understand strategic priorities
