Crossroads Caring for Carers is an affiliated partner of the Carers Trust, who support carers of all ages. We are particularly proud to be providing Dudley Young Carers services throughout the whole of Dudley, on behalf of Dudley Council, who invest heavily in supporting carers of all ages.

Currently we have an exciting opportunity for two 20 hour per week posts, available for individuals who have the appropriate skills and experience to join our team of Young Carer Advisors, to support our Young Carers from the age of 5 up to 18 years of age.

Your role will be to raise awareness and support Young Carers in their own home and/or within the school setting, essentially at a convenient time for the children. Our aim is to help Young Carers as much as possible in their caring role, but also for them also to have fun and a life of their own.

You will hold your own case load of Young Carers, where by you will be in regular touch to provide on going stability, develop a relationship of trust and security allowing Young Carers to flourish and learn.

You will be expected to help run Young Carers Groups as part of a team, held early evening during the week on a monthly basis. Activities will be empowering for children ,helping them to grow and learn as individuals, to contribute to activities, have choices and to be with others in a similar situation.

In addition, the role of our Young Carer Advisor is to help fundraise to help supplement monies for children's events and activities throughout the year. Our charity offers many opportunities to access funding for children, so important you have the skills and ability to get involved, help raise awareness to others around the needs of Young Carers.

It is important that you can drive, have access to a vehicle.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: From £10,836.80 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
