**Details about the role**
We are pleased to be recruiting to the post of a Fixed Penalty Notice Officer (Attendance) to join the Attendance Team.
Norfolk County Council is expected to comply with a range of legal duties in relation to children’s entitlement to a full-time and efficient education, children missing education, child employment and safeguarding. It is the Attendance Service’s function to ensure that these duties and expectations are met.
Under the management of the Attendance and Entitlement Manager, the Fixed Penalty Notice Officer will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of Norfolk County Council’s Fixed Penalty Notice Protocol in accordance with legislation, national guidance and associated timescales where applicable. This will include ensuring any legal action taken is compliant with the Code for Crown Prosecutors.
**Who you will work alongside**
The role will require the post holder to work alongside Norfolk schools to ensure that the Local Authority’s Fixed Penalty Notice Code of Conduct is implemented effectively and provide advice and guidance to schools and academies in the correct implementation and use of Penalty Notices. The post holder will also need to work alongside colleagues from other teams including, Finance and NPLAW. As well as the Courts and other Local Authorities.

**Working pattern / hours**
There is one post available on a permanent basis. 1 full-time role covering 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.
