Preschool Cook

We are looking for a Cook, to order, prepare and cook a variety of healthy, well-balanced meals for children aged 3 to 4 years in the Preschool.

*Main Tasks/Duties*
- To manage the kitchen and other catering stations in line with environmental health regulations.
- To ensure that all dietary requirements are known and adhered to, including allergies.
- Ensure that appropriate clothing, including head wear is worn at all times by yourself.
- Responsible for ensuring that the Food Policy is followed and that High Risk foods are not used in any recipes.
- Ensure that all dietary requirements of children with allergies are adhered to.
- Prepare lunch, tea and snacks.
- To ensure that all food cooked is heated to the correct temperature.
- Communicating effectively in the wider team, and supporting staff in dietary including allergy information and substitutes for children.
- To co-ordinate the serving of lunches, ensuring food is covered and served at the correct temperature.
- To clean main kitchen after each service.

*Qualifications*
- Minimum Level 2 in Food Hygiene, preferably level 3.
