Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a love for teaching students of all ages. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students achieve their musical goals. The Piano Instructor will work with children, teens, and adults, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of each student.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement curriculum tailored to individual student needs and skill levels.
  • Teach piano lessons to students of various ages, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of music theory, technique, and performance.
  • Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create an encouraging and supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Provide tutoring and additional support to students as needed, focusing on areas for improvement.
  • Utilize behavior management strategies to maintain focus and discipline during lessons.
  • Incorporate various teaching methods, including hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.

Qualifications

  • Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning for music education.
  • Proven teaching experience with children, including early childhood education or preschool experience.
  • Background in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
  • Ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods, including the integration of arts such as ballet, theater, or dance when appropriate.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
