Head of Logistics - Innovative Food Sustainability Start Up

London/Hybrid

£70,000 - £100,000

We are thrilled to partner with an innovative high growth start-up business who are breaking grown in their industry and making the food Supply Chain more sustainable. VC backed and in a period of massive growth, they are looking for an ambitious and autonomousHead of Logistics to come in and build their logistics network from the ground up.

This is a great chance to define a function, work with a group of dynamic and driven individuals and be at the genesis of an exciting business that is seeking to revolutionise the way we produce food and triple in size over the next 12 months

What you'll do
- Set up a scalable UK wide food/waste Logistics network that can grow, develop, and flex as the customer base grows as well as the potential to look at European expansion in the near future.
- Work autonomously to run the network efficiently with a focus on performance KPIs, reporting directly to VP of Operations.
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders to meet business goals, while also working with external customers and suppliers to build relationships and maintain a network with enthusiasm.
- Use strong analytical skills to create Logistics models and strong excel skills to build out processes and potentially implement systems in the future.

Who you'll be
- University educated with proven Logistics experience in a fast-paced start-up situation having worked with autonomy and independence, ideally working from within a food based Supply Chain.
- Ambitious with an enthusiastic hands-on attitude and demonstrated ability at building new Logistics networks, or massive scale-up operations or launching networks in new regions.
- Strong analytical skills, process driven mindset and excellent excel capabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for sustainability.
- Ideally a knowledge of Logistics networks in food and food waste, and a background dealing with major supermarkets.
