We are looking for a Facilities & Support Services Co-ordinator in a new and developing area with the National Trust to support looking after what we've got and is the essence of what we do every day. This is a rewarding role if you are interested in historic buildings, going behind the scenes, often to places not always open to the public, to see what makes them tick, can demonstrate care and attention to the highest standard in accordance with the National Trust and industry standards to ensure our properties remain in our care for future generations to enjoy.

We are holding informal South Lakes recruitment drop-in sessions, this is an informal meet and greet with some of the team, get a sense of what it’s like to work here:

**Where? **Wray Castle. Come to the front entrance when you get here and you’ll see us. No need to worry about paying for parking if you’ve come for the drop-in session

What it's like to work here:The South Lakes portfolio looks after all the National Trust land and property on the western shore of Windermere around Sawrey, Hawkshead, Coniston and Little Langdale, which includes Hill Top house and garden in Near Sawrey, the Beatrix Potter Gallery in Hawkshead (both of which are accredited museums) and the 1840’s built Wray Castle and estate on the shore of Windermere and Steam Yacht Gondola which sails on Coniston.

The Lake District welcomes over 15 million visitors a year with many visiting our properties during their visit to enjoy a different experience at each property. We like to tell stories of the history and our key supporter, Beatrix Potter who donated so much to the National Trust and her legacy still lives on today. What you'll be doing:The Facilities & Support Services Co-ordinator is a key member reporting to the Facilities & Support Services Manager. The team is responsible for the care and maintenance of some of the Lake District's most treasured properties in the care of the National Trust, namely, Hill Top (Beatrix Potter's home), Beatrix Potter Gallery, Wray Castle and Steam Yacht Gondola.

You will play an important role in assisting the property staff in looking after these buildings across the South Lakes portfolio. You will work closely with the Collections and Properties teams to ensure our properties remain safe, accessible and operational for all our visitors.

Managing a growing facilities team, you will deliver on the department's objective of maintaining and caring for our properties by using dedicated systems, processes and procedures to ensure that the aims of the National Trust are met. You will also offer a support service to the wider portfolio working closely with the Business Services team in the delivery of customer service.

- An enthusiastic, all-round team player with an approachable attitude and willingness to learn
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload
- Confident using IT packages such as Microsoft Outlook and various systems including asset management databases and compliance trackers
- Aware of Heath & Safety compliance requirements with an understanding of facilities management and maintenance requirements
- A great communicator with a proven track-record of delivering excellent customer and administrative service.
