Neath Residential Senior Support Worker

**We are looking for a Senior Support Worker** to line manage a team of Support Workers in order to facilitate positive outcomes for the people we support in one of our Neath Residential Services. You will report into the Registered Manager as part of the service's management team who you will work closely with.
**The National Autistic Society operate a progressive pay scale for frontline workers. The starting salary for this position is £20,202 per annum. We also offer sleep-in shifts and overtime available at an additional rate.**
**The role includes**:
- Having oversight of support packages including reviewing care plans and outcomes for the people we support
- Managing and Supervising Support Workers to actively support individuals
- Supporting the development of the staff team, including conducting supervisions and appraisals, ensuring staff have access to suitable learning and development opportunities and presenting self as a role model/mentor
- Assisting with the smooth running and day to day operations of the service
**Job Description**:
**To protect our autistic adults, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.**

**Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families, and will include evening and weekend working.**
**You may have **a personal connection, a desire to work with or real life experiences working with autistic people.** You’ll have experience in a support worker role and have a background in supporting autistic people in previous roles within the social care sector, the desire to progress your career, **and if you share our values and are willing to make a difference to the lives of autistic people, we’d love to hear from you.
