**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Managing transactions on all client matters through the Client database
- Organising office and client CHAPS and BACS payments via Commercial Banking; issuing cheques; processing credit card transactions.
- Monitoring all account bank statements.
- Assisting with reporting to the partners (in the form of regular accounting reports) regarding matter and fee-earner figures, WIP, billing and cash flow etc.
- Issuing Bills and Credit Notes for cost bills.
- Assisting with Supplier Invoices and related admin.
- Assisting the COLP and COFA and compliance teams with their SRA responsibilities and compliance generally.
- Assisting with the production of the month end and year end accounts including possible liaison with accountants and assisting with regular audits.
- Assisting with providing financial information where required for instance with Audits, surveys, PII renewal, practising certificate renewals and panel memberships.
- Assisting with managing referral lists and fees with fee-share firms.
- Assisting with Payroll, tax and pension administration.
- Maintaining records, as appropriate, in HR portals.
- Assisting with credit control
- Assisting where required in other areas of the practice including (but not restricted to) compliance, AML checks, archiving, office supplies and equipment, general administration and audit requirements.
**Requirements**:
GCSE maths grade A or above
A level maths or a finance/accounts qualification or experience
Understanding of basic bookkeeping
Understanding SRA Accounts Rules - Training will be provided internally and via external course
Competent computer user skills required (proficient in Word and Excel), enabling the use of integrated systems, banking software etc.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
