**HR Assistant**

A position has arisen for an HR Assistant within a highly regarded education organisation situated within Cambridgeshire. The position is temporary running for 3 months+, with full time hours and hybrid working.

**Location**: Cambridgeshire (two days working remotely per week)

**Contract**: 3 months+

**Hours**: 9:00-17:00, Monday to Friday

**Main duties and responsibilities include**:

- Preparing induction packs for new staff and assisting with the induction process
- Undertaking reference checks and ensuring reference are received to satisfaction
- Ensuring registrations are completed on IT and other organisation systems
- Administrating for staff leavers, drafting leavers documentation and arranging exit interviews
- Providing general database administration including inputting staff data to ensure the database is maintained, inputting details around training, appraisals, and producing reports as needed
- Assisting with the annual appraisal process, following up with line managers to ensure the process keeps moving, and ensuring appraisal documents are submitted to HR at the end of the process
- Drafting and issuing employment contracts, agreements and letters
- Providing administration for routine employment and employee relations processes
- Maintaining HR records in line with GDPR requirements
- Assisting with the roll-out of new or updated staff policies
- Responding to staff queries in a compliant and diplomatic manner and notifying the HR Manager and relevant line managers of information where appropriate
- Assisting with the organisation of some staff events
- Ensuring compliance in the above duties with employment law and keeping up to date with developments in employment legislation
- Excellent communications skills including writing, data entry and telephone etiquette
- Previous experience within an HR/recruitment environment
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and to their own initiative
- The skills to maintain links with team members when off site and keep them updated as appropriate
- Software and keyboard skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience providing operational and administrational support
