MERJE are partnered with an international Manufacturing Business in their search for a talented Management Accountant to take controllership of one of their main UK Plants.

Reporting directly into the UK Financial Controller you will lead the following activities associated with the Plant:

- Month-end Management Accounts and associated commentary preparation
- KPI dashboard preparation and control
- Developing a Business Partnering relationship with the key site stakeholders
- Challenging business unit performance and carrying out investigative and analytical work with a view to understand and enhance business unit performance
- Adopting a continuous improvement mindset and embracing Lean Manufacturing concepts in your support of the business unit.
- Involvement in the preparation of Budgets and Forecasts for the Business Unit.
- Maintaining standard costs for the Business Unit.
- Involvement in Balance Sheet Control and review.
- Involvement in the yearly audit and some of the statutory accounting processes to gain exposure to the full accounting cycle.
- Taking advantage of professional development and training activities as dictated by the role.
- Contribution to Local and Global improvement projects as and when.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant with good levels of Manufacturing Accounting to join an established team and growing business that can offer good levels of progression and development.

You will be office based (Wigan, Lancashire) with good levels of Hybrid working available.

Monthly travel to Derbyshire is required.
