Senior Management Accountant

The **Senior Management Accountant** will manage and be part of the Management Accounts Team. The Management Accounts team is responsible for leading the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliationsand divisional reporting. We are looking for a **Senior Management Accountant** that is still looking to learn and develop and take a step-up into a team lead role.

The **Senior Management Accountant** reports to the Group FP&A Manager.

**Key responsibilities**:
This role will manage two part-qualified Management Accountants: working closely with the FP&A Manager, Group Financial Controller, FP&A Team and Financial Accounts team. The role will include:

- Lead the delivery of monthly management accounts, managing the two part-qualified accountants and ensure all back up sheets are prepared in a timely manner, are accurate, and all month-end items are efficiently posted (fixed asset depreciation, prepayments,payroll journals, accruals, deferred revenue and ad hoc journals.)
- Work with Regional Financial Controllers to ensure the month-end is accurate and any overseas posting are posted in line with the month-end timetable
- Ensure there is sufficient commentary to explain movement against prior year and the current plan.
- Work with the FP&A Manager & Head of Finance projects to improve the efficiency of the month-end process.
- Work with the FP&A Manager & Head of Financial Systems to automate reporting of the month-end process.
- The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for the accurate reporting of revenue and improve analysis each month ensuring we understand the link between delayed renewals and the impact this has on revenue.
- To work closely with the transactional finance team to ensure processing is accurate first time.
- To work with the FP&A Manager to manage the Chart of Accounts and ensure it meets the requirements of both statutory and management reporting
- Prepare monthly variance divisional analysis for management and department heads reporting the to the FP&A Manager
- To ensure headcount reporting is accurate and work with HR to ensure individuals are correctly costed each month. Salaries are our biggest cost so understanding monthly movements is essential. We also slice and dice data in collated business units and individualdivisions
- To build relationships with all Office/ Finance Managers ensuring that there is a smooth running of finances across offices.
- To work with Regional Financial Controllers to empower local offices to reporting that is required by local management
- To work with Senior Financial Accountant to support on the group audit and prepare statutory accounts in accordance with local accounting regulations
- To review and improve the reporting process to improve accuracy, strengthen controls and create efficiency
- Support the FP&A manager in ad-hoc projects

**Skills/Proficiencies required**:

- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Highly organised individual with the ability to work on several projects at once.
- An excellent communicator.
- Experienced in cross-border working, negotiating the nuances of an international team based in different locations
- Proven ability to achieving specified objectives and deadlines
- Ability and experience of working in multi-currency
- Advanced level of excel with the ability to review large data sets quickly and accurately
- Flexible approach and not afraid to get their hands dirty.
- Experience of SAGE and/or D365
- Experience using PowerBI, Tableau or other analysis tools
- Strives to improve processes and utilise efficiencies.
