Grounds Maintenance Foreman

Are you looking for a new challenge? Due to our continued growth we are looking for experienced individuals to join our team at our Alfreton Depot as **Grounds Maintenance Foreman/ Team Leader**.

**Shed Grounds Maintenance** is a privately-owned, Award-Winning company and provides commercial grounds maintenance on a nationwide basis. You’ll be part of our **successful team** covering the Midlands and South Yorkshire, providing a reliable service to our multiple clients including Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Scania, CEVA Logistics and Triumph to name a few.
- Supervise and take responsibility for a team daily. Identifying and allocating individuals’ tasks, ensuring work standards are carried out to the required standard.
- Ability to pass on experience and knowledge to educate and develop your team to achieve and exceed our standards.
- Follow company induction and on the job training of new members of staff to ensure they work to correct standards and in a safe and responsible manner for the work undertaken and machinery used.
- Lead the team on the importance of excellent customer service, be responsible for the quality of service within his/her area of operation.
- Undertake general Grounds Maintenance duties including grass cutting, hedge trimming, shrub bed maintenance, litter picking and the clearing of leaves.
- Complete daily / routine checks on equipment and machinery.
- Complete all necessary recording sheets as per statutory requirements and Shed Grounds Maintenance.
- Undertake driving duties using a variety of light vehicles and possibly trailers.
- To ensure all work carried out in accordance with site specification upon completion.
- To work in accordance with Health and Safety and Hygiene Regulations, and to report all accidents.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Experience as a Team Leader / Foreman
- Driving licence essential.
- PA1/PA6 spraying certificate preferable.

**Hours of Work**
- Monday to Friday - 40 hours a week - annualised hours.
- Full-time, Permanent position.
