**About Ebony Horse Club**
Ebony Horse Club is a Brixton based youth charity that works with young people aged 8-18 years (up to 25 with SEND). We help raise aspirations, education, life skills and wellbeing of local young people through horses, outdoor activities and youth work. Working with young people growing up in an area of disadvantage our riding and youth work team support over 500 young people a year.

To work with YP to support them in every way during their time at the club:
- Coordinate & over see our Youth Work Experience Programme
- Manage & oversee all referrals, both in and out of Ebony for YP.
- Launch & manage Ebony Youth Council to ensure the youth voice is represented
- Oversee Brixton Riders, one of our core programmes here at Ebony
- Work with the Youth Programmes Manager to introduce & develop generic & targeted youth club sessions up to 2 times a week
- Plan & deliver youth club sessions & targeted workshops
- Work with the Youth Programmes Manager to introduce & develop street based/ detached youth work delivery
- Undertake stable management training to deliver basic stable management sessions & support when needed (filling haynets, sweeping, leading in classes etc.), all of these are valuable touchpoints with YP
- Work directly with YP supporting them on the yard & with their riding, as well as in a youth club setting
- Carry out daily administrative duties
- Attend relevant community meetings, including partnership meetings (BYB) with, or when the Youth Programmes Manager is unavailable
- Run reports on areas under your responsibility to support the Youth Programmes Manager on quarterly monitoring and reporting
- Coach and support individuals to facilitate personal, social and educational growth in YP, providing a safe and supportive environment.
- Liaise with education providers and employers who may be able to provide opportunities for our YP.
- Conduct outreach, recruitment and engagement with local YP to make contact, build relationships and to promote the activities of the Club
- Support families and YP to get the most out of our centre and facilities.
- Build a network of referral and support organisations to complement our services and the needs of the YP we support, and refer where necessary
- Conduct 1:1s and family meetings where needed. Create and maintain chronologies for key YP where needed
- Assisting YP in fitting riding hats and boots and ensuring YP are prepared for their lessons
- Work with the rest of the team to identify YP who may need extra support or benefit from opportunities
- Support the Youth Programmes Manager with organising trips, residentials, and holiday programmes, as well as attending them alongside our YP
- Keep paperwork such as monthly planners, attendances records, and workshop plans up to date, using our shared documents and online database accordingly
- Input data to Views (CRM Database) to record attendance and feedback for evaluation.

- Establish and build close relationships with key stakeholders including other local community groups, and charities. Other partnerships will include local schools and residents associations
- Raise the profile of the programme and activities at key community events and networking forums
- Work in partnership with professionals from other organisations that support YP such as social care, health, police and local authorities
- Work closely with Building Young Brixton and Ecosystem Coldharbour youth workers, to share best practice and learning across both consortiums
**Other Tasks**
- Taking payments and recording attendance of YP
- Setting up equipment prior to sessions and packing down
- Taking part in, and occasionally leading on team debriefs
- We are an ‘all hands on deck’ kind of team, so occasionally you might be asked to get involved with something to support the wider team, this will be appropriate to job level and fully assessed ahead of completing

- Maintain the highest levels of Safeguarding and Health and Safety at all times.
- Act as Safeguarding officer to support the Youth Programmes Manager and identify any safeguarding issues as they arise
- To follow all EHC Health and Safety requirements at all times
- To follow EHC Safeguarding policy at all times and following reporting lines where needed
- To ensure that accident report forms are completed in the event of an accident and appropriately filed
- Ensure cause for concern forms and chronologies are completed where an incident or concern around a YP arises
