**Job Title**:Ferndale Foods - Batching Operative**

**Job Purpose**:
The purpose of this role is to supply the assembly team with all materials & packaging within high care in batched form. To produce batched quantities of materials to enable the assembly team to make the required quality of finished product, in the right quantity to complete the daily production plan.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To ensure Company standards are maintained through laid down procedures and specifications.
- To work safely in accordance with site and departmental procedures, observing the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Food Safety Act 1990.
- To maintain Good Manufacturing Practice.
- Provide assistance to the development team with factory trials.
- Looking after new starters to ensure they feel part of the team ensuring training & guidance is been given.
- Recording correct information on the batching cards.
- All components must be weighed as they are being batched to ensure the correct quantity is available to use.
- Practice good housekeeping rules and keep your area clean and tidy and free of debris to avoid slips, trips and falls
- Ensure all product that is not in bags is covered and tagged all times either by an empty clean tray or plastic covering must have a tag or open use by tag.
- Comply with all health and safety requirement including using the appropriate PPE at all times
- If adjustments are required ensure new batch sheets are received and checked against the first issue.
- When production run is complete ensure all components are returned to the chill with the correct tags on them especially when two dates have been issued everything must then be re-weighed and weights amended on the tags.
- Ensuring chilled products are stored at the correct temperature and ensuring chiller doors are kept closed when not in use.
- Ensuring good communication with the assembly Team Leaders so the correct materials are available at the correct times

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £11.65 per hour

Expected hours: 38.5 per week
