Cook and Prep Operative- Food Manufacturing

Within our Cook and Prep Department, we are looking to hire for multiple positions to support the needs of the business. We operate 24 hours a day and have opportunities working on either permanent day shifts or permanent night shifts.

We have **three** different roles available including Vegetable Preparation Operative, Oven Operative and Take Out Operative. Please see below for their individual Job Descriptions:
**Vegetable Preparation Operative**

In this position, you will be responsible for batching and weighing up ingredients to be used in cooking sauces.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ordering ingredients from the Intake Team
- Weighing up ingredients
- Ensuring all lot numbers match with ingredients
- Checking that all raw material used is of the correct standard.

**Experience**:
Though no previous experience is required as training will be given, the following is required:

- A good understanding of the English language
- Rudimentary knowledge of computers
- Be able to raise concerns where necessary
- Strong work ethic
- Moderate knowledge of allergens (preferred)
- Understanding of a wide variety of ingredients (preferred)

**Oven Operative**

In this position, you will be responsible for batching & mixing ingredients, transferring the product onto our racking and loading into the ovens for cooking.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ordering ingredients from the Intake Team
- Weighing up ingredients
- Mixing ingredients
- Racking product onto oven racks
- Ensuring all lot numbers match with ingredients
- Checking that all raw material used is of the correct standard.

**Experience**:
Though no previous experience is required as training will be given, the following is required:

- A good understand of the English language
- Be able to raise concerns where necessary
- Strong work ethic
- Moderate knowledge of allergens (preferred)
- Understanding of a wide variety of ingredients (preferred)

**Take Out Operative**

In this position, you will be responsible for taking out cooked product from ovens and cook pots, which will then be required to transferred into the chiller storage, ready for the Assembly department to use.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Removing products from ovens and chilling in blast chillers.
- Checking temperatures to ensure product is within specifications
- De-racking product from oven racks into trays,
- Pumping out sauces from cook pots to chill in rota chillers and removing when they reach correct temperature
- Filling out paperwork

**Experience**:
Though no previous experience is required as training will be given, the following is required:

- A good understand of the English language
- Be able to raise concerns where necessary
- Strong work ethic
- Moderate knowledge of allergens (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £11.65 per hour

Expected hours: 38.5 per week
