JOB PURPOSE
To provide a professional reception and administrative service to patients, doctors, staff, health service professionals, agencies and others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Opening / closing premises and transferring telephone services appropriately;
- First point of contact for patients;
- Dealing with the public, answering general enquiries and explaining surgery procedures;
- Report results to patients under GP instructions;
- Log any incidents / accidents that may occur;
- Respond to the day to day issues that may arise within the clinic and resolve problems wherever possible;
- Posting outgoing external mail;
- Receipt and distribution of internal mail including laboratory samples;
- Assist with clinical trials and audits if required;
- Undertake tasks allocated by the Management team;
- Ordering and restocking supplies in the healthcare professionals rooms;
- Updating cervical smear recalls on the SCCRS system;
- Provide absence cover within your team;
- Process payments for treatment;
- Report any operational problems on a timely basis;
- Adhere to the confidentiality policy;
- Maintaining patient records;
- Logging incoming and outgoing medical records (electronic and paper note)
- Clinical coding (training is provided);
- Maintaining the Waiting Area;
- Operating a telephone switchboard system;
- Preparation of agenda and papers for meetings;
- Any other administrative requests;
QUALITIES

Essential
- At least two years experience;
- The ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner;
- Positive approach and able to remain clam under pressure;
- Ability to show initiative;
- Good communicator;
- Capacity to be a strong team player;
- Friendly and welcoming manner;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Polite telephone manner;
- Problem solving skills;
- Strong IT skills.
- The applicant must be available to work Fridays and until 1800.

Desirable
- Previous experience gained in a health care environment;
- Previous customer service experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12 - 37.5 per week

**Salary**: £18,005.00-£21,142.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
