Cyp Wellbeing Practitioner

MyMind CYPMHS in Wirral are working together with families and community services to improve mental health through accessible, inclusive, specialist care and support to increase children and young people’s potential and life chances.
We seek to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic individual who is passionate about CYP mental health, with a demonstrable track record of CYP MH clinical experience. You will be a qualified Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner or Education Mental Health Practitioner (post-graduate certificate or above from a provider university as part of the CYP-IAPT programme).
The MHSTs are part of an exciting project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners, with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties in Wirral Schools. The main focus of Mental Health Support Teams are:
To provide support and advice to school staff through consultation and training.
To provide evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild-moderate mental health difficulties on a 1-1 or group basis.
To support schools in their development of a Whole School Approach to Mental Health.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Wirral Mental Health Support Team (MHST), providing support to children and young people of primary and secondary school age across Wirral.
Band 5 Mental Health Worker will work with colleagues in MHST who align closely with the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services, education settings and professionals supporting children, young people and their families. The post involves working directly with schools, colleges and settings providing information, advice and guidance through consultation, direct work with children and young people and their families and delivering evidence-based interventions as well as supporting schools in developing and implementing a Whole School Approach to Mental Health. Post qualification experience is preferred.

This is a permanent position, ideally full-time but part-time may be considered.
