As a Sessional Lecturer, you’ll teach adult learners across different levels to ensure that they are able to achieve success in their Construction course.

Your teaching and learning sessions will be varied and effective. You’ll develop course objectives using effective course and lesson plans designed to monitor learners’ progress. You’ll prepare course plans in accordance with any external or College setsyllabuses and deliver the agreed learning outcomes by the end of the course. You’ll prepare lesson plans showing content, activities and timing and prepare learning materials for each session as appropriate.

We’re looking for someone who possess a relevant professional qualification or who can demonstrate a background in the field of construction. You’ll have successful teaching experience and be committed to establishing and maintaining a good working relationshipwith colleagues and students alike. We’d like you to have excellent communication skills, be highly organised and able to work under pressure to strict deadlines.

A teaching qualification is not essential, however we do ask that you are willing to achieve one in line with current regulations.
