**Roles and Responsibilites**:

- Lead EC&I commissioning activities including; developing testing and commissioning plan, tie-in plans, operational testing support.
- Technical documentation production including; Operating, testing and maintenance procedures/manuals; Software backups for smart field devices e.g. VSD configuration. Record keeping and version control.
- Implementation, maintaining and testing of SCADA systems
- Good understanding of C&I protocols including - 4-20mA, HART, Profibus, Modbus.
- Electrical Installation systems - power, control, cable specification, sizing, including data cables, instrument cables, along with associated cable segregation and screening requirements
- Read OEM documentation including drawings, manuals, specifications and define interface requirements to existing control and power systems. Including ABB LV Drives, flow, temperature, pressure and level measurement instrumentation, LV MCC.
- Develop cable block diagrams, schedules, core termination sheets, cable registers.
- Pneumatic distribution specification and installation.
- Cable sizing and calculations to BS7671 18th edition.
- Interpreting contractor test documentation and approval for energisation of circuits.
- DCS and Safety System connections, Loop sheet generation and approval.
- Safe isolation of electrical and pneumatic plant and equipment (up to 415 kV). Including Electrical permit to work, Proving DEAD.
- Create, update/modify AutoCAD drawings.
- Final element specification, installation and commissioning including - solenoid operated valves, pneumatically actuated valves and positioners, dampers.

**Qualifications & experience**:
Essential:

- Recognised EC&I Apprenticeship Scheme (electrical or instrumentation) or ONC/HNC in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Specification of electrical, control and instrumentation equipment associated with heavy manufacturing industry or similar.
- Experience and knowledge of gas fired burner instrumentation and controls.
- Experience of decommissioning of electrical, control and instrumentation infrastructure.
- Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems including associated HAZOP, SIL Determination, SIF loop design and implementation.

Experience of:

- routine maintenance,
- fault finding and defect rectification.
- breakdown repairs on LV electrical equipment
- Instrumentation and control systems on industrial and or process equipment i.e. switchgear, starters, VFD's, pumps, fans, motors, drives, conveyors & control systems.
- Experience of Allen Bradley PLC
