Role Details

The role of Activities Volunteer is a multi-faceted role and is crucial in providing recreation, engagement, participation, and a sense of purpose to our Service Users through enjoyable and varied activities.

We believe that encouraging services users to be as active as possible is a key part of maintaining good physical and mental well-being.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Activities Co-Ordinator to help provide a variety of activities that cater for all tastes
- Encourage Staff Members, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Care Centre's activities
- Help to create an atmosphere that suits individual needs within the Care Home.
- Helping to set up for activities
- Being able to assist and encourage residents to participate, making sure to keep them engaged

Required
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Team Player
- Friendly, creative and confident
- Genuine interest in working with the older people
- Satisfactory Disclosure Scotland check and current PVG scheme ID number
- 2 references are required

Desired
- Previous experience of working with older people
- Flexible approach towards working routines

PLEASE NOTE: You will always be supervised and will not be conducting 1:1 with the residents. You will not be expected to undertake any personal care or administer medication.
