**Job summary**:
We’re looking for an individual join the Statistics and Research team to provide support for our full range of research activity.

You will be responsible for supporting the Senior Research Officer and Thematic and Research Support Officer by providing administrative support for our full range of research activity.

**Job description**:

- Provide administrative support for the thematic process - setting up folders, correct documentation.
- Provide administrative support for consultations responded to.
- Support the Statistics and Research team in creation and analysis of surveys, particularly qualitative analysis. Managing our questionnaire accounts, including archiving.
- Support the Statistics and Research team in providing research advice to colleagues undertaking thematic work, including initial literature searches and summaries and supporting development of data collection tools.
- Provide regular research and policy updates.
- Manage the political monitoring system, including weekly round-ups.

**It is essential that you have**:

- Are approachable and able to form effective working relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, work accurately and with attention to detail.
- Are organised, able to work independently and can manage competing priorities to ensure tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
- Have ability to synthesise information and clearly communicate key messages to colleagues.
- Have good IT skills (Microsoft Office) and are able to learn how to use new systems quickly.

It is desirable that you have experience of survey software such as Smart Survey, social research experience, an up to date knowledge of education policy in Wales and the ability to work through the medium of Welsh.
