**Retail Supervisor Emmaus Hull & East Riding**

**Terms and Conditions of Employment**
- Salary of £22,400 per annum
- 37.5 hours/week over 5 days, Monday to Saturday, 0830 - 4:30pm. Every Saturday.
- Annual Leave - 25 days per annum plus bank holidays. Retail team members will routinely work B/H and be given time in lieu.

**Retail operations summary of role**:

- To drive the Emmaus enterprise sales and achieve targets whilst supervising daily functions.
- Help to lead a team to deliver great customer service to our donors and customers.
- Work with the local community to generate sufficient donated stock to drive sales.
- Help to recruit, train & retain a volunteer team, who'll look to you for leadership and guidance.
- Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring you and your team’s health and safety is a priority.
- Help to manage effective stock processes to ensure your shop is well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock at all times.
- Drive gift aid contributions and initiatives.
- Manage logistics of collections and deliveries.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Emmaus Hull & East Riding, supporting in store and social media campaigns to promote the brand and national fundraising initiatives.

**General**
- To ensure activities are inline with quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, policies and general duty of care and professional boundaries.
- To be flexible and willing to carry out any reasonable duties needed to assist the community and business operations, including holiday/sickness cover, and participation in team meetings, attend 1:1’s and appraisals.
- To understand and work in accordance with the principles of Emmaus International and uphold its values and ethos.
- Support, supervise and develop training for companions and volunteers.
- Participate in wider Emmaus activities.
- Be flexible and work in any retail area to support smooth operations - including covering sites when needed.
- Training will be given/arranged as necessary.

**Essential**
- Previous retail experience
- A strong communicator with excellent organisational skills
- A highly self-motivated, positive and resilient individual
- The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of people
- Confidence working well on own initiative
- Experience of working in retail management is highly desirable, as is experience working in the charity retail sector
- Clean driving license

Pay: £22,400.00 per year

- Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)

- Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
